An international bursary is offered by the Western Sydney University for students who are originated from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, The Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam for pursuing their studies at the University of Western Sydney enrolling in the year of 2019. Scholarship Information
- The scholarship requires all academic based on merit, and the English proficiency be demonstrated appropriate to the requirements of the university enrollment. In addition to apply the courses, international students must be accepted offers from the university by the deadline for the respective commencing session:
- Quarter 1 2019 = 16 November 2018
- Quarter 2 2019 = 04 March 2019
- Quarter 3 2019 = 24 May 2019
- Quarter 4 2019 = 16 August 2019
- Semester 1 2019 = 12 December 2018
- Semester 2 2019 = 21 June 2019
- The scholarship is offered to students who want to pursue both the undergraduate or postgraduate programs offered by the Western Sydney University except Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Nursing (Undergraduate), and Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry).
- Those who selected to be awarded will be given $3,000 and will be granted as a one-off contribution towards tuition fees. The bursary does not cover costs associated to living expenses, accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover or other costs associated with the study. And the bursary is limited to them who come from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, The Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
- To apply the scholarship, the international applicants must: (a) be one of nationalities mentioned previously; (b) be a new international student commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at Western Sydney in 2019, for the first time; (c) be a first time applicant, applying for admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate program after 20 August 2018; (d) be an international student with a Higher Education Sector Visa (Subclass 500); (e) satisfy the academic and English requirement for the undergraduate or postgraduate degree you are applying to; (f) receive the admission offer by the deadline mentioned previously.
