Elizebeth Pearse Music Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2018 in memory of the late Mrs Elizabet Pearse to fund the study of music at Masters or PhD level. This scholarship is subject to the provisions of James Cook University's coursework scholarship, bursaries and grants policy.
The James Cook University (JCU) is a public university in North Queensland, Australia. The second oldest university in Queensland, JCU is a teaching and research institution.
Scholarships Eligibility
If all the below statements describe you and your current situation, you can apply for this scholarship:
- I am an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or holder of a permanent visa; and
- I am or intend to enroll full time in PhD, or Master of Philosophy with Music as my specialist area of study
Scholarship Benefits
If you are a successful applicant of this scholarship, you will receive AUS$8,000 paid in two equal instalments after census date of Study Period 1 and Study Period 2.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted on the official application form no later than the date set by the Selection Committee for the year in which the award is to be made.
Applicants must submit with the official form, where appropriate:
- An outline of your research proposal
- Two letters of recommendation, and;
- A copy of your curriculum vitae; and
- A certified copy of your academic record if from another institution
- Any other supporting documentation that would assist the Selection Committee in developing an opinion of you as an applicant
When applying for a scholarship, it is very important that you answer all the questions and include all relevant documents. Your application and relevant documents must be submitted before the closing date. If an application is incomplete, it will not be considered.
Please submit your completed application by 31 January 2023, and the application will be opening on 01 October 2022. The application must be submitted on the official application form.
