CUHK International Scholarships
The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzen is a joint venture between Shenzen University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). CUHK intends to further its goals regarding education and conduct its further development with international students.
To encourage academic excellence, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzen offers an expanding range of scholarships to international students.
Scholarships Eligibility
To consider as applicants for this scholarship, you must ensure your application for CUHK-Shenzen is successful, thus; you will automatically be considered for an entry scholarship. To apply then
- Applicant must have held a passport from a country or region other than Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan for a minimum of four years.
- The CUHK, Shenzen seeks top quality students. Our minimum entry requirements, based on the recognized qualifications are (1) an overall score in the top 20%, (2) core subjects (mathematics, English and subjects directly related to your major) also within the top 20%
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) with 30 points out of 45
- GCE A-level/ International A-level 3 AL passes or 2AL+2AS passes in one sitting (All grades must be obtained from examinations taken within a twelve-month period), with an average of grade C
- SAT Reasoning Test/ ACT and SAT Subject Test/ Advanced Placement (AP) Test Senior Secondary School Graduation Diploma/ Certificate; and overall total score of 1190 out of 1600 in SAT (from March 2016)/ 1650 out of 2400 in SAT Reasoning Test (before March 2016)/ a composite score of 24 in ACT; and a score of 600 each in 2 SAT Subject Tests/ grade 3 each in 2 Advanced Placement (AP) Tests
Scholarship Benefits
There are four types of entry scholarship to cover tuition fees:
- Honor Scholarship (120,000 RMB/ year)
- Full Tuition + Accommodation Scholarship (96,200 RMB/ year)
- Half Tuition + Accommodation Scholarship (48,700 RMB/ year)
- Quarter Tuition + Accommodation Scholarship (24,950 RMB/ year)
- Full-accommodation Fee Scholarship (1,200 RMB/ year)
Selection will be based on your suitability for CUHK-Shenzen, taking into account your academic performance, English ability and character as assessed through an interview. The Scholarship will be provided for 4 years, as long as your GPA remains above 3.0.
Scholarship Application Process
To be consider as the applicants, the candidates must use the application portal of the university and apply.
