Presidential Scholarships
Boston University (BU) is a private research university in Boston, Massachusetts. BU is a member of the Boston Consortium for Higher Education and the Association of American Universities. It is classified among R1: Doctoral Universities - Very High Research Activity.
Each year, the Board of Admissions awards the Presidential Scholarship to our incoming first-year students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. In addition to being among our most academically talented students, Presidential Scholars demonstrate excellence beyond the classroom and are leaders in their schools and communities. This $25,000 tuition scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study at BU.
Scholarships Eligibility
BU defines an international student to be a non-US citizen or non-US Permanent Resident Green Card Holder. International students usually need and F-1 Student Visa or J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa to study in the US. You are eligible to apply for the undergraduate program if you have completed the equivalent of a US secondary school education, are a GED recipient, or have completed a secondary school equivalency exam. Another additional details are:
- Secondary School Records
- English Proficiency Testing Results such as TOEFL, IELTS, or DET
- Center for English Language and Orientation Programs (CELOP_
- Documentation of Financial Support
- Copy of Data Page of Passport
- Standardized Tests

The scholarships are available for international students to take undergraduate/ bachelor degree. The amount of the scholarships that are offered to the students are $25,000
Scholarship Application
If you want to apply for this award then you are required to apply for the undergraduate degree coursework at Boston University. After taking confirmation, no additional application form is required for this study fund, no additional application form is required for this study fund. The candidates will be automatically considered by the university based on their eligibility.
Applicants must submit all the required supporting documents such as secondary school records, English Proficiency testing results, documentation of financial support, and copy of data page of the passport. The candidates are advised to check the entry requirements asked by the university to study an undergraduate degree program. If the candidate's first language is not English, then they have to demonstrate the English language ability by taking the TOEFL or IELTS test.
