China Government Scholarships for Studying at Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications Intake 2020

About the Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor Scholarships

The China government scholarships, in particular the Chongqing Municipal Government Mayor scholarships is proudly welcomed international students to study at CQUPT in China. The scholarships only supports graduate students for no more than 3 academic years, while the undergraduate students for no more than 4 academic years. This China governmental scholarships (Municipal Government Mayor of Chongqing) are available for any subjects offered by the Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, except for Chinese Language or any preparatory studies.

The CQUPT is one of the most prestigious university that has been supported by the Government of China. It has been considered as the China's fourth largest municipality with focusing on the research and education in the field of information and communications, especially in research of mobile technologies, optical sciences and related digital research.

 

Eligibility of China Government Scholarship at CQUPT

• Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China, and be in good health
• The requirements for applicants' degree and age are different for undergraduate, master, and postgraduate studies. For undergraduate programs, applicants must be a high school graduates under the age of 25, and for the master studies, applicants must have a bachelor degree with the age under of 35. Meanwhile, for the doctoral programs, applicants must earn their master degree under the age of 40 when applying.
• Applicants should be holding any other scholarships provided by the Chinese Governments.

 

China Government Scholarships Awards

As this is a part of the Chinese Government Scholarships, in particular offered by the Chongqing Municipality Major, it is a full-funded scholarships. The recipients will get:

• 35,000RMB/year for doctoral students
• 30,000RMB/year for master students
• 25,000RMB/year for undergraduate students

 

Application to Chongqing Municipal Government Scholarships at CQUPT

The application is done in two parts, firstly by online application, and document applications that must be posted. Complete the application form for Chongqing Municipal Government Scholarship and print a hard copy. Afterwards, the mail must be addressed  to international office of CQUPT before 15 April 2020. The following documents that must be completed in online application system and posted mail are:

• 2 Passport size photos
• Application form for Chongqing Municipal Government Scholarship (written both in Chinese or English)
• Application form for Study in CQUPT (the application form can be accessed from this Link)
• Notarized highest diploma (documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations)
• Academic transcripts (written in Chinese or English, or transcripts in language other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations)
• A study plan or research proposal (written in Chinese or English)
• Two recommendation letters signed by a professor or an associate professor (these letters must be written in Chinese or English which will be used for graduate applicants only)
• Copy of valid passport home page
• The record of studies or worked in China if you ever worked or studies in China
• Non-criminal record
• Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy, and it must be written in English)
• Papers or articles published or to be published
• Copy of valid language certificate (if available)

Please use DIN A4. All documents should be bound together on top left corner in the order. (You should submit TWO sets of bound documents). No application documents will be returned, and please post your documents to: International Office, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, No. 2 Chongwen Road, Nan'an district, Chongqing, China, 400065.
