PhD at Aalborg University Denmark
PhD Project Description
Electronic health records (EHR) are vital for the healthcare system, serving as key platforms for generating and sharing healthcare data among different professionals and stakeholders. EHR systems undergo regular updates to meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers. However, the impact of these continuous updates on healthcare professionals' work practices remains largely unexplored.
This PhD project aims to examine how healthcare professionals' practices are influenced by updates in new EHR releases and how ongoing innovation occurs. By considering humans and technology as co-shaping entities, the project will investigate the significance of EHR software updates in the daily work of healthcare professionals.
The selected candidate will join the "Techno-anthropology and participation" research group.
