Hong Kong, a country with centre of global trade, is one of the destination for international students to study about business. As one of the centre of bussines, Hong Kong is also part of global trade, in which the nations have an excellent establishment in business related educational institution, and one of it is Hong Kong Baptist University.
The International Postgraduate Scholarships (IPS) is a global initiative designed by the School of Business of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) to nurture future business leaders. Since launching in 2018, it has attracted many highly-talented and intellectually-motivated international students, who demonstrated leadership potential and aspired to make a difference, to our selected full-time taught postgraduate business programmes.
The HKBU is part of the only triple-accredited business school in Hong Kong among the 1% of triple-accredited business schools worldwide, in which the accreditations are from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. IPS scholarships are available for 8 postgraduate master business programmes (full-time mode, 12 months, all classes conducted in English). The 8 programmes are:
- Master of Accountancy
- Master of Human Resource Management
- MSc in Applied Accounting and Finance
- MSc in Applied Economics
- MSc in Business Management
- MSc in Corporate Governance and Compliance
- MSc in Data Analytics and Business Economics
- MSc in Finance (FinTech and Financial Analytics)
Scholarships Eligibility
Candidates must meet with the following eligibility criteria:
- An outstanding applicant for one of our 8 full-time postgraduate programs of international students. Students from mainland China, Macau and Hong Kong are not eligible
- A future leader who is determined to make a positive impact on the business community and the wider world
- A commitment in taking part in HKBU's internationalization projects and activities during the study period
Scholarship Awards
The scholarship will provide the successful candidates with award accounted for HK$100,000
Scholarship Application
To apply the scholarships, it is advised to visit this Scholarship Link. For 2021 Intake (The class is begun in September 2021), the admissions criteria are: (1) A bachelor's degree from a recognised tertiary institution, (2) Proof of English proficiency by IELTS or TOEFL (for applicants whose bachelor's degrees are obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is NOT English), (3) Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an online interview and/ or a written test.
Submit your application online via Online Application System to one of the 8 full-time master's programmes. Competition increases as the year progresses, so we recommend starting your application early. During the process of registration, non-refundable application fee is required, and all the prospective students who have submitted the Online Application to one of the eight selected programmes will be considered for the qualification of IPS or other scholarships simultaneously. A separate application for a scholarship is not required.
The application for the scholarship is closed on April 2021 (Please be notified that different deadlines applicable to different programmes, please also check the respective programme page for up-to-date information on the application deadline).
