International Entrance Scholarships at University of Waterloo Canada Intake 2020

About the Scholarship/ and University
The University of Waterloo is a public research university with a main campus in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The university offers academic programs administered by six faculties and thirteen faculty-based schools.

Entrance scholarships are available if you are starting full-time first-year degree studies and, in September 2020, are beginning post-secondary studies for the first time. Scholarships and bursaries are awarded starting in early May once we received updated grades from Ontario high schools.

Requirements
The scholarships are available to students in all programs. Once you have applied for admission, we will automatically consider you for these awards.

Awards/ Grants
Awards range in value up to $10,000 per academic year, disbursed evenly between the fall and winter terms. These scholarships are renewable but cannot be combined with any other university grant or discount.

Application Process

Interested applicants are required to take admission in the undergraduate degree coursework at the university. The university may ask you for a copy of the bank statement, statement of financial support form and copy of passport. Applicants must hold a previous degree certificate and other admission requirements of the university. Candidates are required to provide evidence of English language proficiency for admission.

To be eligible as the applicant for this scholarship, you must
  • Be admitted for the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree program
  • Have academic performance (minimum 90% admission average
