About the Scholarship/ and University
Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) is a public university in China’s fourth largest municipality of Chongqing. It focuses on the research and education in the field of information and communications and enjoys nationwide reputation in the study of postal communications, telecommunications and information technology, especially for its research and commercialization in telecommunications technologies. The university offers scholarships, bursaries, and fee waivers for international students for those who aim to pursue their further study.

Requirements
Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.

• The requirements for applicants’ degree and age are that applicant must:
• be a high school graduate under the age of 45 when apply for the Chinese language programs;
• be a high school graduates under the age of 25 when apply for the undergraduate programs;
• be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the master programs;
• be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the doctoral programs;
• Applicants should not be holding any other scholarship

Awards/ Grants
Supporting Categories and Duration: Chinese Language students, undergraduate, master students, and doctoral students.
For Chinese Language students, undergraduate, master students

• First class: master degree 10000RMB, bachelor degree & Chinese language students 6000RMB
• Second Class: master degree 8000RMB, bachelor degree & Chinese language students 4000RMB

For Doctoral Students:

• Tuition fee waived
• free university dormitory (Twin Room)
• Stipend: 3500RMB/ month

It supports students for no more than 3 academic years. Students need to attend the Annual Review, the university could suspend or cancel all of you scholarship if you fail to pass the annual review.

Application Process
Complete the Application Form for CQUPT President Scholarship (Attachment 1) and print a hard copy, and then mail all hard copy application documents to International office of CQUPT before application deadline of 15 April 2020. The other requirements are:

1. 2 Passport size Photos
2. Application Form for Chongqing Municipal Government Scholarship (written in Chinese or English);
3. Application Form for study in CQUPT (please visit the Scholarship Link)
4. Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
5. Academic transcripts (written in Chinese or English);
6. A study Plan or Research Proposal (written in Chinese or English)
7. Two recommendation letters signed by a professor or an associate professor (written in Chinese or English, which is only required for graduates applicants)
8. Copy of valid Passport Home Page
9. The record of studies or worked in China if you ever worked or studies in China
10. Non-criminal record
11. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Photocopy) (written in English, can be downloaded in the attachment 2). The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamps of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
12. Papers or Articles or to be published and the copy of valid language certificate (if available).
13. Please use DIN A4. All documents should be bound together on top left corner in the order. You should submit two sets of bound documents, and no application documents will be returned.
