The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), founded in 1959, is an international organization for higher education in Khlong Luang, Thailand. It specializes in engineering, advanced technologies, sustainable development, and management and planning. Its aim is to “promote technological change and sustainable development” in the Asia-Pacific region, through higher education, research and outreach.
Bangchak Initiative and Innovative Centre (BIIC@AIT) located at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand is currently looking for excellent a total of three master applicants in (1) Energy, (2) Food Engineering and Bioprocess Technology (FEBT), (3) Environmental Engineering Programs (EEM). All research assistant scholarships are fully-funded (covering the stipend and tuition fees) and open to students from any nationality. English is the official language of communication at AIT.
Requirements
The role of researcher is mainly, but not exclusively, to carry out innovative research in the field of sustainable development which will lead into commercial prototype, product or process. To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants:
Successful applicants are awarded with full tuition and registration fees plus accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT’s residential campus, for the entire period of 22-24 months for the Master degree.

- Must be from any nationality
- Must have a first-class (honours) bachelor’s or GPA 3.0 from reputed Universities
- Must have English Proficiency: IELTS or AIT EET score above 5.0
- Role of researcher which is to carry out innovative research and to lead to commercial prototype, product, or process.
- Capability in working within a project team to achieve innovative results
- Exceptional communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Ability in presenting results in technical reports, and preparing scientific papers for publication in international refereed journals
- Experiences in incubation/ founding start-up company is added advantage
- Experiences in the following fields will be a plus: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Blockchain, Energy Technology, Clean Technology, Smart Cities etc.

- Names and contact information of at least two references
