About the Scholarship/ and University
The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a public research university located in the urban coastal city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. QUT is in its current form was founded in 1989, when the then Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) was granted university status by the Queensland University of Technology Act.
The QUT offers international students for applying the QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA). A scholarship is offering for current and future postgraduate research students.
Requirements
You must (1) meet the admission criteria for a PhD students; (2) apply for and be accepted into a PhD or professional doctorate.
This scholarship is not available for master students. By 30 September, you must also: (1) meet the English language proficiency requirements; (2) apply via a QUT agent, if required. Please check if you need to use an official QUT representative to apply. If you do, you can find an agent in your country.
Depending on your previous experience and qualifications, you may need to meet English language requirements. You can find your English language requirements in your course information. The QUT accepts test results from: (1) IELTS (Academic); (2) TOEFL iBT (Internet-based); (3) Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic); (4) Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE); (5) Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)
Awards/ GrantsYou will receive a living allowance for three years, indexed annually (AUS$27,596) in 2019. The scholarship is for full-time students, and can be used to support living costs. The international students may also receive a research degree tuition fee sponsorship.
Application ProcessFor future students, you must register your interest for a scholarship when you apply for your course by completing the “Scholarship application” section of the research degree application form. Indicate on your application that you want to be considered for a scholarship as part of our annual scholarship round. You must apply by 30 September.
