The candidates must need to have a high school certificate (for bachelors) and an undergraduate degree (for masters). The foundation will provide an amount worth up to 120,000 Yen/ month to the successful applicants.
Requirement
The amount of grants that will be given to successful candidates is 120,000 Yen/ month (graduate students) with the duration max 2 years from April 2020.

- International Students studying as a regular student at undergraduate or master program as of April 2020.
- Those who research pedology or agriculture. Applicants pursuing other academic fields (such as marketing or management related to agriculture) may also apply.
- Those who are national of the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kiribati, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Lesotho, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia (Scholars with Japanese citizenship are not eligible)
