Graduate Scholarships for Japan and Developing Countries Students Intake 2019/2020 Offered by Joint Japan World Bank

The graduate scholarships are offered to international students to study at several countries provided by the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP). All the scholarships are offered to the students in very particular fields related to developing studies. The program has awarded over five thousand scholarships which have been selected from over 65000 applicants around the world.

Scholarship Information:
The scholarships are granted for pursuing a master at preferred universities. The scholarships are awarded for studying only at master programmes that have been granted “preferred” statbus by the JJ/WBG Scholarship Program.

The scholarships offered by the JJ/WBGSP provide the awardee with the following benefits:
  • Economy class air travel between your home country and the host university at the start of your study program and immediately following the end of the scholarship period. In addition to the two-way air travel, scholars will receive a US$500 travel allowance for each trip
  • Tuition fee for your graduate program and the cost of basic medical insurance usually obtained through the university
  • A monthly subsistence allowance to cover living expense, including books. The amount of the allowance varies depending on the host country
