The International Science and Engineering Merit (ISEM) offers an undergraduate scholarship programme to students who want to pursue their bachelor degree and master degree at The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) for academic year 2018. The scholarship can be applied by students who are citizens of Hong Kong, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

The scholarship’s objective is to provide financial support to the students who want to continue their education in the fields of science and engineering. The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is one of private university in Australia and it was founded in 2008 located in Perth, Australia. The EIT also provides programme either in vocational and higher education.

Scholarship’s programme levels: this scholarship is available for students who want to pursue their undergraduate and master degree level

Scholarship’s grants: The scholarship’s award is covering following things:
  1. 85% off their first-year undergraduate tuition fee
  2. 70% off their first-year postgraduate tuition fee

Scholarship’s requirements:
  1. Eligibility requirement: Be a citizen and/ or permanent legal resident of Hong Kong, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
  2. Entrance requirement: This scholarship is only for: (1) BSc degrees with students who achieved an average of 75% (Tier 1) in year 12 or equivalent; (2) Master degrees with students successfully meeting course entry requirements; (3) International, full fee-paying, non-sponsored students; (4) Students commencing studies at EIT’s Western Australia Campus in 2018; (5) Students commencing full-time, on-campus study
  3. English Language Requirements: Proof of English Proficiency, if applicable – students whose native languages not English will be required to submit one of the following as proof of English proficiency: (1) A copy of an official transcript verifying completion of studies in an English speaking university in the last five years; (2) A test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 570 or higher for the paper based test, 230 for computer-based test, or an internet-based TOEFL IBT score at least 89; (3) IELTS 6.5, or the equivalent
  4. How to apply: (1) Please ensure you are eligible to study your desired course. You can view the entry requirements for each course on the ‘programs’ page – http://oncampus.eit.edu.au/programs.html/ - if you do not meet the English Language entry requirements, but everything else, EIT may be able to assist you to organize English language training through another training provider prior to commencing your degree. This will be to assist you with meeting the English Language entry requirements of your chosen course. EIT also have an array of online study options, so you have the option to start studying online in your home country; (2) Complete the EIT application form. Please download the international application form here. Please ensure you send all of the required supporting documents outlined on the last page of the application form. Please send your completed application form and supporting documents to: perthcampus-at-eit.edu.au; (3) Wait for your offer. The EIT Admission Team will assess your application, which will take approximately seven working days. During this time period you will be notified if further documents are required. This may cause a delay in the process; (4) Receive your offer. If your application is successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer; (5) Review your Letter of Offer. Once you have reviewed your Letter of Offer and made sure that your name, course title and semester details are correct you will need to submit your acceptance to us along with the deposit for your tuition fees and the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Fee, or evidence that you have organized your own OSHC. We will then be able to send you an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) for lodging your visa; (6) Apply for your student visa. Once you receive your eCoE you can apply for your student visa.
Scholarship’s deadline application: the application will be closed on 12 January 2018. The candidates are encouraged to submit the required documents before that day to prevent unexpected situation.
