Japan, as one the most favorable countries to study, has been visited by around 300,000 international students for continuing their study in various fields due to its global technology. The country has provided world-recognized studies in universities, professional schools, and junior colleges.

The JERA scholarship is offered to international students with an aim to encourage and be part in the development of talented people who will contribute to the future economic development of Asian countries. The scholarship is for studying at The International University of Japan which is a private university based in Minamiuonuma, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.

Scholarship Requirement

The candidate must have to meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • The candidate must be an international student
  • The applicant must apply for study in masters degree in the university
The scholarships are open to studying masters degree program in the following fields:
  • Advertisements
  • Science
  • Mathematics
  • Communications
  • Engineering
  • Economics
  • Environment
  • Visual Studies
  • Health
  • Humanities
  • Music
  • Various

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship will be awarded as follows: (1) The scholarship grants of 150,000 per month for approximately two years, (2) The scholarship grants cover the full amount of entrance and tuition fees

How to Apply for the Scholarship

For applying to these scholarships, the applicant is needed to follow these steps:
(1) Applicants are requested to take admission in master's degree program at the International University of Japan. You must apply before the closing date, and please follow this Application Link. Then (2) The IUJ will submit your scholarship application documents to those who have expressed an interest in applying for a scholarship in their application for admission, for further information related to the scholarship, please kindly visit this Scholarship Link. The final step is the submission of required documents, which are:
  • High school Diploma Certificate
  • School transcripts already available
  • Transcripts from prior school (only if requested)
  • Post-secondary transcription
  • Official survey results
  • Start/ Course Vitae
