The Urban University of Melbourne, located in the city of Melbourne, has been widely recognized as one of the leading universities in the world. The university was established in 1853, and it has been a public-spirited institution that makes distinctive contributions to society in research, learning and teaching, and engagement ever since the establishments. There are 10 colleges located on the main campus and in nearby suburbs offering academic, sporting and cultural programs alongside accommodation for Melbourne students and faculty.
Thus, The University of Melbourne offers Melbourne Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship is available to high achieving students undertaking graduate study at the University of Melbourne.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this scholarship, you need to: (a) be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia; (b) have applied for an eligible graduate coursework degree; (c) be commencing study at the University of Melbourne for the first time; (d) not be in receipt of any other tuition fee remission scholarship or sponsorship which, in combination with the Melbourne Graduate Scholarship, exceeds 100% of tuition fees; (e) not have received any other scholarship provided by the Australian Government in the last 2 years.
Eligible applicants are scored and ranked according to their academic achievement of their last completed degree and their research potential in their field of study. Factors such as completion of a degree at the same level of the research course which the scholarship is sought, relevant professional experience, refereed publications, specialist medical qualifications or composition of original music may be taken into consideration.
Applicable study areas are Architecture, building and planning; Commerce, economics and management; Education, teaching and training; Engineering; Historical, philosophical, political and social studies; Language, literature and cultural studies; Law, legal studies and criminology.
Awards/ GrantsThe awardee of the applicants will receive fee remissions of between 25% and 100% of tuition fees for the duration of your course.
