Study in the USA. The Colombian Doctoral Student Fulbright Program is a sponsorship provided by American Fulbright Foundation. This scholarship offers to students who currently study in Colombian University to conduct research in the United States of America’s universities. This program grants a monthly stipend during the research time and stay for US$1,300.

The scholarship’s objective is to provide support for Colombian Students to pursue their doctoral program by conducting the research in the USA.

Scholarship’s programme levels: this scholarship is available for students who want to pursue their doctoral programme.

Scholarship’s study subjects: This scholarship is granted for students from wide range of programme. It means all areas of knowledge but there is limitation to clinical areas of human and animal health.
Scholarship’s grants: The scholarship’s award is covering three things:

1. Monthly stipend during the research time in one academic year from five months to 10 months. Every month, the awardee will receive US$1,300
2. The scholarship program also aids in term of installation fees, study books and materials, thesis expenses, and private health insurance with total US$1,750
3. The transportation from the origin country which is in this case from Colombia. A one-way ticket both to the USA and going back to Colombia in economy class.

Scholarship’s requirements:

1. Eligibility requirement: The candidate must demonstrate that he has a cumulative minimum average of GPA of 4.0 over 5.0 in scale of Colombian Education either in his completed universities studies at undergraduate and postgraduate master programme. The candidate must be holding Colombian passport
2. Application requirement: The candidate must attach his/ her diplomas of undergraduate, specialization and/ or masters. If the official is electronic, the candidate must include the verification code. A copy of the citizenship card scanned on both sides must be attached. A scanned copy of the biographical page of the valid passport must be attached. The candidate also must present at least two letters of recommendation, which may be academic or professional and those letters must be written in English or Spanish.
3. English Language Requirements: The candidate for the scholarship must submit one of the following English exams including TOEFL iBT overall score 80; TOEFL ITP overall score 567; IELTS Academic score of 6.5.
4. How to apply: The application can be applied via online and comply with the requirements of attaching the required documents.

Scholarship’s deadline application: the application will be closed on October 4, 2017. The candidates are encouraged to submit the required documents before that day to prevent unexpected situation.
